Everyone was excited and happy. Our bus arrived at our gates at 5.30 a.m. and we put our luggage into the bus. My parents, my elder brother, a friend of my dadโ€™s and I got into the bus. From home we went to Thalawathugoda to pickup our cousins and their neighbours. My mother had packed our breakfast and we had it in the bus. We drove to Nuwara Eliya. On the way we saw the Devon Falls. Our bungalow was superb. We rested for a while and went to Gregoryโ€™s Park and returned to the bungalow. So that was the end of the first day. On the second day we went out to see the golf club, Pedro Estate, Ambewela Farm and a strawberry farm. Later we returned to our bungalow and watched a horror movie before going to sleep. On the third day we went to Haggala Gardens and then to the Adisham Bungalow which was the scene for the film โ€˜Sarigamaโ€™. We also visited the Lipton Seat, which is the tallest and the most mountainous view point in Sri Lanka. It is on an estate, and from the top of the estate,...

I have a pet dog and his name is dora. He is three years old, huge built ,brown coloured German shepherd dog. He loves our family members but is aggressive to strangers. He protects our house especially during nights, and no one dares to come in front of him. Apart from being loyal ,German shepherds are very obedient and intelligent ,so they are also good sniffer dogs.  Through dora is fierce ,he is friendly too. He chases all the stray dogs that tend to enter our house. physical activities like running, playing ,jumping etc.. make him happier and he doesn't like sitting idle. dora is very protective of us and attacks anyone who tries to misbehave or harm us. It is always exciting to play with dora and everyone, especially my young brother, enjoys playing with him..

Sri Lankan economic crisis .....๐Ÿ™‚

Image
The  Sri Lankan economic crisis  is an ongoing crisis in  Sri Lanka  that started in 2019.  It is the country's worst economic crisis since its  independence  in 1948. It has led to unprecedented levels of  inflation , near-depletion of  foreign exchange reserves , shortages of medical supplies, and an increase in prices of basic commodities. The crisis is said to have begun due to multiple compounding factors like  tax cuts ,  money creation , a nationwide policy to shift to organic or biological farming, the  2019 Sri Lanka Easter bombings , and the impact of the  COVID-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka . The subsequent economic hardships resulted in the  2022 Sri Lankan protests . Sri Lanka received a lifeline in the form of an Indian line of credit amounting to $4 billion. This substantial credit infusion served to cover the costs of importing essential goods and fuel. As a result, the foreign currency reserves of d...

Environmental issues in sri lanka include large-scale  logging  of  forests  and degradation of  mangroves ,  coral reefs  and  soil .  Air pollution  and  water pollution  are challenges for Sri Lanka since both cause negative health impacts.  Overfishing  and insufficient  waste management , especially in  rural areas , leads to environmental pollution. Sri Lanka is also vulnerable to  climate change impacts  such as  extreme weather events  and  sea level rise . Industrialization and population growth are major drivers of these environmental issues. A lack of public awareness and governmental guidelines intensify the problems.
